Eowyn Ivey: Snow Child

The Snow ChildThe Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Somehow I expected more magic. I thought that it was simply a nice story of an elderly couple finding their way in their new home in Alaska. I think that Faina’s existence or identity (whatever you may call it) could have been anything but there were no real consequences of her supposedly being a snow child.

I think it’s okay for a debut as a writer. But I don’t think it’s a novel I’d recommend as a must-read.
